What is Camp Bestival Shropshire?

Camp Bestival Shropshire was the Midlands' spin-off of the much-loved Camp Bestival Dorset, bringing its unique blend of music, arts, adventure, and family fun to the stunning grounds of Weston Park.

Created by Rob da Bank and his team, the festival aimed to make the Camp Bestival experience more accessible to families in the North and Midlands, without the long journey to the Dorset coast.

From its debut, Camp Bestival Shropshire combined the magic of a traditional festival with an emphasis on creativity, wellness, and family-friendly entertainment. Festival-goers enjoyed an eclectic music line-up, with past performances from artists like Rick Astley and Paloma Faith, alongside DJ sets, comedy acts, and theatrical performances.

Beyond the main stage, the festival featured a diverse mix of activities for all ages, from interactive workshops and circus skills to yoga sessions and storytelling tents. The main arenas hosted a variety of performances and experiences, ensuring there was something for everyone, whether it was live music, spoken word, or hands-on creative sessions. Will Camp Bestival Shropshire Return?

The official announcement is that Camp Bestival Shropshire is taking a break for 2025, with no confirmation yet on whether it will return in 2026. While festival-goers eagerly await news, Camp Bestival Dorset will still be going ahead in full swing at Lulworth Castle from Thursday 31st July to Sunday 3rd August 2025.

For those missing the camping experience, the Dorset edition promises the same family-friendly atmosphere, complete with music, arts, wellness, and adventure. Camp Bestival combines world-class performances with immersive activities, ensuring a magical weekend for all ages. The festival features a variety of ticket options, including day tickets and full weekend passes with camping, catering to different budgets and preferences.

Opening times and closing times vary depending on ticket type, with campers typically allowed early access on Thursday, while day ticket holders can enter from Friday onwards. Whether you’re planning a full weekend escape or a day trip, Camp Bestival Dorset offers the same unforgettable experience, keeping the family festival spirit alive until (hopefully) Camp Bestival Shropshire returns in 2026!
