The Lion King Theatre Tickets & Hotel Stay for 2!
With Christmas looming upon us, why not enjoy a wonderful day out seeing one of your favourite Disney shows in the West End followed by a 1 or 2 night stay in either a 3 or 4 ...
Wicked is the musical everyone’s talking about the moment, the widely anticipated film starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande that’s recently been released in UK cinemas at the end of last week. But no one mourns the wicked, for today we are leaving the Emerald City and stepping into the swirling candlelit mysteriousness of late 19th century Paris.
It's time to talk about another famously iconic musical production, composed by the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber that has been played to over 160 million people, in over 40 countries and performed in a whopping 18 languages. The longest-running show in Broadway history needs no more introductions – The Phantom of the Opera.
This incredible musical is adapted from Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel of the same name, The Phantom of the Opera. Phantom has been a hit with fans since its breakout into London’s West End theatre back in 1986 and is so well received and loved that its fanbase has gained its own nickname, colloquially termed ‘phans’ of the show and film starring Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler as Christine and The Phantom respectively.
‘The Music of the Night’ -Tell me about the Phantom of the Opera
The famously macabre story of the tragic love triangle, the young soprano Christine is pursued by both her childhood friend Raoul and the Phantom himself who takes residence within the underground terrain of the Paris Opera house. Our mask-wearing Phantom spawns from time to time emerging from the sewers to showcase his mysterious musical talent, think… ‘The Music of the Night’.
Just imagine it… the chillingly powerful sound of the organ thunderously drowning out any other sound, you hear the beginning notes of the iconic self-titled musical track… smoke and fog swirl upon a darkened stage… the ghostly Phantom leads Christine around the stage and the action unfolds before you…it really is an experience quite unlike anything you have ever heard or will hear again!
No amount of descriptive jargon I can muster will ever hope to meaningfully articulate the atmosphere, the stage presence these beloved characters hold. So, the best option really is to see this masterpiece yourself. Our WonderDays Black Friday offer currently offers up to 24% off a theatre ticket and 1 or 2 nights in London stay for 2 . Best to buy now and get the chance to book before the show finishes on 29 March 2025.
