The Main Event

Jump into a traditional horse drawn carriage with your family or friends and enjoy a ride in one of the oldest forms of transport!

Explore a private country estate in Yorkshire where you’ll be able to appreciate the beautiful grounds of the estate.

Whilst on your horse drawn carriage ride, you’ll get the chance to relax and enjoy an afternoon tea picnic hamper full of goodies!

Here you’ll enjoy:

Lemonade or bottled water
Cheese and onion quiche or pork pies
Cherry vine tomatoes
Fresh fruit scones, cream and jam selection
Lemon, chocolate or carrot sponge cake
Cheese board selection

Don’t worry about the classic British weather either as whilst there is an open top carriage for the warmer months, there is also a carriage which is enclosed with windows so you can still enjoy your ride even during the colder months! The closed carriage will have fluffy blankets, cushions and hot water bottles if needed.

Important to Note

Horse have regular access to water at regular intervals with most of their work being in the shade.

While heat may not be considered extreme in the UK, caution is taken when we experience a prolonged period of abnormally hot weather. This is deemed to be when temperatures are consistently above 30 degrees for more than a few days. Under these heatwave conditions both horses and humans are at risk of collapse from heat exhaustion, so in this situation, consideration and care is taken and bookings may be cancelled and or rescheduled to the cooler times of the day (you will be contacted and advised of this).

Available on selected dates Monday - Sunday throughout the year.

Carriage rides last approximately one hour.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Children of all ages are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Afternoon tea not suitable for those following a vegan diet.
Passengers are advised to dress warmly and bring gloves in the colder months.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
