Get ready for a hidden, hands-on encounter of the criminal kind where you’ll live and breathe an exciting theatrical prison experience with the Alcotraz Prison Cocktail Experience.

Once convicted, guests (or should we say inmates!) are taken into an exciting world of mischief as they are instructed by a notorious bootlegging gang on the inside to smuggle in liquor to be used to make delicious, bespoke cocktails. Expect to see your contraband liquor combined with liqueurs, bitters, and homemade syrups to craft bespoke, contemporary, and classic cocktails perfect for your time behind bars.

From the highly detailed sets, replica jail cells, skilled actors and the orange jumpsuits, you'll be immersed in the storylines and transported to another world.

With six locations across the country, the Alcotraz Prison Cocktail Experience is the perfect gift for those who love a bit of adventure and theatrics with their drinks. Get ready to be part of the bootlegging action and experience a night of fun, flavour, and intrigue.

Important Bits

Important to Note

Cells can seat 6-7 guests maximum. If you're a small group of 2 or 3, there is a chance you may share a cell with another couple or small group.

Inmates need to bring their own alcohol. 1 x 70cl bottle of spirit is recommended for every 3-4 inmates. Base spirits like gin, vodka and rum etc are recommended. Please bring only new, unopened and sealed bottles.

All mixers, bitters, juices, fruit and syrup is provided at the venue.

Each person will be served approximately 4 drinks.

Non-alcoholic mocktails are available for non-drinkers.

Bristol, Cardiff, London: Week round, year round.
Manchester, Brighton, Liverpool: Sunday to Friday, year round.

Please arrive promptly for your allocated the start time and allow 1.45 hours for this experience.
If you are over 30 mins late, you will not be allowed in.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Minimum age: 18 years old with valid ID.
Please bring ID (passport, drivers license) in case you're asked for it.
No food is served during this experience.
Light clothing is recommended, no fancy dress. You'll be issued an Alcotraz orange jumpsuit for the duration of your stay.
The wheelchair friendly locations are: Bristol, Cardiff and London.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
