This trip takes between 2.5 to 3.5 hours to cover the scenic 7-mile stretch, however you have up to 4 hours allowing you to paddle at your
leisure and soak in the tranquil beauty of the countryside. Starting from the charming town of Bridgnorth, you’ll meet the friendly canoe crew
who are ready to guide you through this relaxing adventure.
For your convenience, a complimentary shuttle bus transports you from the meeting point to the starting location in Coalport, nestled within the
historic bounds of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. From there, you’ll paddle downstream, with the current gently assisting your journey
back to your vehicle, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
You have the flexibility to choose between a two-person or a three-person canoe, making it an ideal outing for couples or small groups. Imagine paddling through the serene waters, surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife – it’s the perfect opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Important to Note
The Severn Park car park in Bridgnorth is where you meet to get the shuttle bus. This is a pay and display car park - £5.50 for all day parking. The parking machines do not accept cash. Payment can be made by debit card or online via the app.

Available Monday to Friday between the months of April and September.
Shuttle bus leaves at 10am and 11am from Severn Park car park. This will leave on time so please ensure you are not late.
Validity
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
Who Can Go
- Minimum age is 4 years old.
- Adults participating must have paddled at least once before (canoe, kayak, raft, paddle board).
- Maximum weight per 2 person canoe is 35 stone (222kg). Maximum weight for 3 person canoe is 40 stone (254kg).
- The minimum hire age is 18 years old and an adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult on a one to one basis for water activities. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres. Anyone not able to swim this distance must be accompanied by an adult who can.
- Please wear clothing you don't mind getting wet and bring a change of clothes and towel with you. Sensible footwear is recommended, no wellies or flip flops.
- Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times whilst on the river. Please do not throw them on the ground or in the bottom of boats. Where possible please place them in the dry bag supplied to keep them clean when removed.
- In the event that you flip the canoe you will need to be confident to swim yourself, the boat and equipment to the side of the river bank where you’ll be able to empty the boat and get back in. The experience provider is not with you on the river and whilst they are only a phone call away, they cannot help you back into your boat.
- If your canoe trip is cancelled due to bad weather or river levels, an alternative date will be offered to you.
- Please make the experience provider aware of any medical conditions, recent illnesses, allergies, surgery, pregnancy or other information of your family or group members.
- There is no whitewater on the 7 mile stretch.
