The Main Event

Perfect for a unique gift, a horse drawn carriage ride with a cream tea is the sweetest idea.

Set in private grounds of a private country estate near York, your carriage awaits with your driver and one of his carriage horses as you and up to 4 friends will have the best time onboard this traditional form of transport.

Admire the stunning views of the estate as you meander through the country tracks and look out for all kinds of nature to such as deer or buzzards.

You can then enjoy a lovely cream tea of sandwiches, coleslaw, cream cakes, fresh fruit scones, jam and cream plus a pot of Yorkshire tea or fruit teas or coffees. This can be taken either onboard or on a bench under beautiful trees in the ancient woodland.

Important to Note

While heat may not be considered extreme in the UK, caution is taken when we experience a prolonged period of abnormally hot weather. This is deemed to be when temperatures are consistently above 30 degrees for more than a few days. Under these heatwave conditions both horses and humans are at risk of collapse from heat exhaustion, so in this situation, consideration and care is taken and bookings may be cancelled and or rescheduled to the cooler times of the day.

Horse have regular access to water at regular intervals with most of their work being in the shade. The booking system allows their work to be carefully scheduled and for you to be contacted when bookings need to be moved to cooler parts of the day.

Available on selected dates Monday - Sunday throughout the year.

Carriage rides last approximately one hour.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Children of all ages are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Passengers are advised to dress warmly and bring gloves in the colder months.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
