This is a fantastic adventure for anyone that loves adrenaline as you get to experience not just one thrill but three all in some of the UK’s most magnificent caves.
You’ll undertake caving where you’ll see geological and archaeological marvels in hidden passages before you emerge into the main caves.
As if this wasn’t enough, you’ll do mammoth abseils, cross over deep water, climbs and then you’ll finish with a zip line from the valley.
Who is this experience suitable for?
This experience is not for the faint-hearted, this physically and psychologically challenging experience is only suitable for active, capable, adventurous explorers who are at ease with rigorous exercise, enclosed spaces, heights, climbing, abseiling, crawling and who have good leg and upper body strength. All adventurers must be physically fit.
What do I need to wear?
As the caves are naturally wet and the floor can be uneven in places, we recommend sensible footwear. We would not recommend flip flops, high heels or bare feet.
A sensible base layer which allows you to move freely (e.g. leggings and long sleeve top). Jeans are not suitable. Make sure you wear clothes you don’t mind getting dusty or damp.
It is a good idea to bring a change of clothes (just in case of bad weather).Wellies are standard caving footwear and we recommend you wear these, however well fitting walking boots are also fine. Don’t wear your best trainers!
Long hair needs to be tied up. Hairnets are available (free of charge). Anyone with masses of hair (braided, dreadlocked etc.) which stops a helmet being properly fitted might not be able to participate.
The temperature is a constant 11° Celsius in the caves.
Maximum group size
Groups of 8 in the morning session. Groups of 10 in the afternoon session.
Storing belongings
On-site lockers are available to keep your valuables safe. No money is required.
Experience can be enjoyed on both weekdays and weekends.
9.30am session – arrive at 9.15am
1.45pm session – arrive at 1.30pm
Closure dates: midweek (Monday – Friday) during November, December, and January and up to February half term.
Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Please allow at least 2 hours for your experience.
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
