The Main Event

You and a partner or friend can put your off-road driving skills to the test in this half day 4x4 off-road driving training course for 2.

Get ready for an off-road driving adventure, where you'll tackle rugged terrain in a Land Rover Discovery, pushing the vehicle to its design limits.

The training course takes place on a British Off Road Driving Association (BORDA) member site, so you'll have the expertise of BORDA Specialist Trainer Instructors giving you top-notch training. You'll learn advanced vehicle control techniques for navigating challenging off-road landscapes and gain essential skills for handling adverse weather conditions, such as flooding, ice, and snow-covered roads.

The day kicks off with a hearty breakfast and an introduction to off-road driving theory. After a demonstration drive from the experienced instructor, you'll take the wheel of a Land Rover Discovery and conquer the very same challenging terrain used to train professional 4x4 drivers, including those in utility, rescue, and emergency organisations. The focus is on empowering you with the knowledge and skills needed for off-road and on-road driving in adverse conditions. Upon successful completion of the course, you'll be awarded a certificate, proving your newfound expertise in off-road driving.

This couples off-road driving experience is all about practicality, education, and adventure. Get ready to tackle the wild, learn from the pros, and take home the confidence and knowledge you need to navigate the toughest terrains and weather conditions.

Important to Note

Driving will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions which would make driving dangerous.

On this experience, you'll be sharing the Land Rover with your partner and a BORDA Approved Instructor.

When

At least one weekend day per month. Dates fill quickly, please allow at least six weeks advance booking notice.

Duration: Approximately 3 hrs, including a briefing and 40 mins driving.

Start times are usually 10am and 1pm, but can be adapted to suit the client.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to booked start time to ensure a prompt start.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Drivers must have a full UK car driving licence with them on the day. Medical conditions must be disclosed at point of booking.
Minimum height 5’0 maximum height is 6'4, Maximum weight is 18 stone.
Dress comfortably with suitable outdoor clothing, and please wear suitable flat-soled shoes or walking boots. The site can be extremely wet and muddy!
For food, 2 establishments are offered depending on client preference - a cafe or fast food restaurant both in Chirk. The cafe offers alternatives for dietary conditions and alternatives such as vegan and veggie options.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
