Bubble, bubble toil and trouble.....
Every wizard needs to know the cornerstones of magic and you'll learn them all here on this magical experience.
This interactive workshop, led by a Potion Master will take you on a journey of discovery as you learn all about spell casting, runecraft and of course potions!
You'll face puzzles and challenges to test your wizarding skills so you'll need your wits about you to vanquish the escape game, gather all the ingredients and craft exciting potions to graduate from the School of Magic.
So what's on the agenda?
Arrival at the School of Magic
The tour guide will lead you to the hidden cave behind St Giles Cathedral where you'll enter the School of Magic. After a brief introduction and with your wizard robes on, the workshop will begin.
Mini escape game
The experience will start with a mini escape game. Working in a team, you'll solve puzzles and challenges to escape the room before the time runs out.
Introduction to potion making
After the escape game, it's time to meet your Potion Master who will guide you through the basics of potion making. You'll learn about the importance of the correct ingredients, how to handle them and the fundamental steps of potion brewing.
Time to experiment!
Now it's time to get your hands dirty! Under the guidance of the Potion Master, you'll conduct six exciting experiments including creating monstrous 1m long slimes and discovering colour-changing and smoking ingredients. Each experiment is designed to enhance your knowledge of potion-making and will challenge you to think creatively.
Potion Brewing
Finally, it's time to brew your very own potion! Armed with your newly acquired skills and knowledge, you'll gather all the ingredients and put them to use. You'll face a few final challenges and tests before completing your potion and graduating from the School of Magic.
