Begin your day by leaving Edinburgh behind and marvel at the views of Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. As you travel into the Highlands, you’ll follow in the footsteps of the legendary Rob Roy MacGregor, immersing yourself in Scotland's rich history.
Your journey includes a visit to a local whisky distillery. Here, you’ll learn about the production of Scotland’s beloved ‘water of life’ and enjoy a sample of this fine spirit. Warmed by the whisky, you’ll then explore the serene beauty of Perthshire’s Hermitage forest. Continuing south, you’ll visit Dunkeld, where you can admire the impressive cathedral on the banks of the River Tay. After this, you’ll head back to Edinburgh, passing the impressive Forth Bridges along the way.
Arriving in Edinburgh around 5:30 pm, you’ll have time to relax and explore the city before making your way to the evening performance of the Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle.

Returning back to Edinburgh for approximately 05.30pm to allow for plenty of time to catch the evening performance of the Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle.
It cannot be guaranteed that those who booked together will be sitting next to each other on the coach as seats are not allocated. Please be on time returning to the coach for all itinerary stops. The guide will have the time displayed on a clock.
The 2024 Military Tattoo has now ended but bookings for 2025 are available.
