Create magical family memories with a visit to Canonteign Falls, an enchanting 90 acre private estate in Devon, home to one of England’s tallest waterfalls.
Start your day exploring the estate’s stunning lakes, streams, and ancient woodland. Climb the 90 original Victorian steps through the lush fern garden to reach the top of the falls, where panoramic views await as water cascades an awe-inspiring 70 metres below. Along the way, children can spot resident fairies and the willow dinosaur family, adding a touch of whimsy to the adventure.
For younger visitors, the estate is a treasure trove of discovery, with adventure playgrounds featuring trampolines, a wooden galleon, a zip wire, and a mini assault course. Delight in the challenge of the children’s trails and enjoy the included bags of duck food to meet some of the estate’s feathered friends. The carved and willow animals, Roald Dahl-inspired “green ship,” poet’s corner, and standing stones provide endless fascination for curious minds.
Included in this experience are two fun children’s trails and 2 bags of duck food to keep little ones entertained all day.
When it’s time to refuel, Canonteign Kitchen, a charming lakeside café, offers homemade meals, a special children’s menu, and indulgent treats like cakes, milkshakes, and ice creams. End your visit with a browse through the farm shop to pick up a unique memento of your day.
