The Main Event

Have you ever fancied crafting a knife from scratch using the fundamentals of knife making? We offer the chance to go to a forge in Herefordshire to create a bespoke piece to take home.

This one day course is perfect for both beginners and seasoned pros as their expert team guide you through each process of design and forging. Using the basic techniques needed to craft a knife, you’ll both get involved in traditional techniques to create a number of different knives including kitchen, hunting, bush craft and fishing knives.

Once your knife is finished (1 per couple), you’ll get the chance to enjoy lunch in the open air picnic area or in their Scandinavian lodge or shepherds hut.

You’ll create not only a great keepsake to take home but also memories that you’ll treasure forever with your friends and family.

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

This experience day is for over 18’s. However, 16 and 17-year-olds are very welcome if accompanied by an adult.
The forge site is partially wheelchair friendly, and the forge team will try and cater for your requirements. Please discuss this at the time of booking the experience.
Bookings should be made around 8-10 weeks in advance and are subject to availability.
Long sleeves, trousers and trainers/boots are advised. Long hair must be tied back and rings, watches or bracelets removed in the workshop as these pose a snagging hazard.
Personal protective equipment is provided on arrival.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
