The Main Event

Ever fancied learning how to really cook….or fancied encouraging a loved one to learn so you don’t have to?? Well, this is the experience for you as we have a one stop place to truly discover how to cook!!

They will not only show you how to prepare and cook food from around the world but they’ll also do it in a creative, enjoyable environment which means you get can get the most out of your cookery course at the school.

Based in Hertfordshire, this cooking experience offers you a range of countries around the world from which you can create mouth watering dishes. No previous cooking knowledge is needed as you’ll be offered full support in all the dishes you make, and you even get to go home with a full recipe pack as a memento.

You choose which course suits you or the recipient best as you can either learn about popular authentic Thai dishes with fresh ingredients such as rice, fish and vegetables with exotic spices and herbs. Or, embrace in Indian culture and learn about the incredible flavours and tastes you can create with the half day Indian cookery course to name just a few, there are other mouth watering courses such as Mexican or Italian available too.

However you choose to step up your dinner party game, you're sure to impress after a course with the professionals!

Vegetarian and Vegan options are also available, there is something the whole family can enjoy.

Important to Note

There is ample car parking on site, free of charge.

Please wear comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes (no flip-flops or open toed shoes).

We will provide you with everything you need for the day, all we ask for you to bring are food containers to take home some of the delicious food you'll have made (this does not apply to the half day Indian class).

Travelling from London? The nearest main line & underground tube station is Marylebone, Just 22 minutes to Rickmansworth.

When

The Cooking Academy runs a variety of courses on selected days from Monday to Saturday, all year round. Please check their website to find out the dates and times of your course.

Half Day Classes are 3 hours long and run either 9:30am-12:30pm or 1:30pm-4:30pm.

Half Day Classes do not run on a weekend.

We recommend you book at least six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Minimum age: 13 (under 18’s need parental or guardian consent) A soft drink alternative will be offered to under 18s. ID may be required.
It's not possible have spectators unfortunately. All attendees must be paying participants in the class.
You will be able to purchase a good selection of equipment that you use in our classes, as well as a variety of spices.
If you are gluten intolerant, please make the provider aware of this when booking as many classes can be altered and tailored to suit a gluten free diet.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
