Located in a relaxed, open demonstration kitchen within a converted Georgian stable wing, the school is the perfect setting for mastering great food with an emphasis on using sustainable, locally sourced produce throughout the year.
A nearby four-acre walled garden, filled with fruit, vegetables, and herbs, provides a bountiful supply of fresh, seasonal ingredients for the courses. Complemented by estate venison, rabbit, smoked trout, and game, the cookery school sources the finest local ingredients from the wider estate.
With a busy programme of practical half-day cookery classes running year-round, there’s a course to suit everyone—from classic baking and Sunday roasts to South-East Asian cuisine and French Brasserie. Whether you're a beginner eager to learn or a professional looking to broaden your skills, book today and discover a love for the culinary arts.
All equipment and ingredients are provided as part of the course. You don't need to bring anything extra.
Half day courses start at 10am and finish around 1:30pm.
Please arrive early for tea and coffee from 9:30am.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.

From Dame Susan's Garden - Visit the 4-acre kitchen garden with your Chef Tutor to collect your ingredients to make a range of meals and accompaniments.
Cooking With Fire - Learn how to cook with DeliVita wood fired ovens. Recipes may include: pizza, bone in steaks, lamb and padron pepper skewers, grilled caesar salad, whole roast seabass, and wood fired brownies.
Italian Cuisine - Travel to Italy via the kitchen and try your hand at recipes such as focaccia; kale and ricotta Ravioli with Salsa Verde; pea risotto with pan fried seasonal protein; and tiramisu.
Middle Eastern Cuisine - Learn how to master the flavours of this exciting cuisine. Recipes could include Iman Bayeldi with griddled halloumi, flat bread, Morroccan chicken, roast aubergine with saffron yoghurt, and orange cake.
French Brasserie - Explore traditional and modern French dishes. You could be making rustic French loaf, country pate, French onion soup, chicken sauté chasseur, and pear and almond tart.
Indian Masterclass - Discover the flavours of India on this cookery course and learn how to toast spices to bring out their flavour and marinate meat.
Baking, Desserts and Pastry - Learn the secrets of patisserie to make mini works of art such as Bakewell tarts, baked chocolate tart, eclair and profiteroles, and orange short bread.
Spanish Tapas - Impress guests at your next dinner party with tapas classics such as Padron Peppers, Chorizo in Red Wine, Beef Albodingas, Traditional Tortilla, Gambas as Ajillo Pintxo or Crema Catalana.
Fish and Seafood - Boost your confidence cooking with fish and seafood on this half day cookery course.
Greek Classics - Learn how to prepare and cook traditional Greek cuisine. Recipes could include Flatbread, Souvlaki, Hummus, Baklava, Chicken kebab, Moussaka, Portokalopita (Greek Orange Cake).
Show Stopping Canapés - Your chef tutor will arm you with the skills and techniques to make canapés worth talking about. You'll get to enjoy the fruits of your labour with a glass of wine too!
Mexican Cuisine - If you've ever wanted to master Mexican food, now's your chance! Enjoy making breakfast dishes like chilaquiles and huevos rancheros, flavour packed stews and desserts like mini Gorditas de Nata.
Modern World Street Food - Discover the latest street food trends from across the world such as Bao buns with pork belly and spring onions, scotch egg, salmon sesame skewers, chicken satay with peanut sauce and Vietnamese summer roll.
Artisan Bread Making - Designed for those who have never made bread before, you'll be shown basic techniques of kneading, mixing, baking, fermentation and shaping.

Great Stocks and Sauces - Sauces can make or break a meal so it pays to know how to get them right. Learn all the tricks of the trade so you can rustle them up no problem. This course may include: Chicken, Fish, Vegetable and Beef Stock along with Béarnaise Sauce, Peppercorn Sauce, Red Wine Sauce, Fish Cream Sauce, Béchamel Sauce, Chimichurri Sauce.
Seasonal Dinner Parties - Learn to cook with produce that’s been grown locally during various times of year. The skills you'll learn could include knife skills, preparation of meat and fish, bread making, sweet pastry, setting sweet mousses, pasta making and cooking methods.
Quick and Simple Suppers - Your chef tutor will teach you how to create speedy and nutritious suppers using seasonal produce. Covering meat, fish and vegetarian alternatives you'll create a range of different meals and accompaniments.
Estate Game - Learn the different cooking methods of game and their individual cuts of meat, such as venison, pheasant and rabbit.
