Discover the gruesome tasks of executioners at Tower Hill, observe the Old Bailey where many met their fate by public hanging, and uncover tales from the Royal London Hospital about the Elephant Man. Follow our guide through the silent, cobblestoned Smithfield market area. Notice the William Wallace plaque, recounting Braveheart's torturous end, and learn about 19th-century body snatchers who exhumed graves for science. Hear the chilling tale of Fanny Lynes, the Cock Lane ghost, whose story of death, scandal, and spectral appearances still haunts.
As dusk falls, enter the East End, the 19th-century den of crime. In the autumn of 1888, Jack the Ripper emerged, committing heinous murders. Step off the coach and walk through the murder sites, examining clues and debating suspects in these unsolved crimes.
Conclude your tour at the Sherlock Holmes Pub, a treasure trove of memorabilia from the legendary detective.
This is a combination of coach/walking tour and will finish at a traditional pub near Trafalgar Square.

Tour departs Victoria Coach Station, Gate 0, at 19:00pm (Boarding starts at 18:45pm) and finishes at approximately 21:30pm near Trafalgar Square.
