The Main Event

Discover the thrill of paddling along the River Severn on this Mega-SUP experience, a unique adventure perfect for groups of friends and family. Nestled in the stunning landscape of Shropshire, this journey takes between 2.5 and 3.5 hours and covers a scenic seven-mile stretch. You have up to 4 hours to complete the trip allowing you ample time to soak in the breathtaking views and the tranquillity of nature at your own pace.

Your adventure starts in the historic town of Bridgnorth, where you'll join the friendly raft crew. For added convenience, a complimentary shuttle bus transports you to the starting point on the river at Coalport, in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. From here, you’ll paddle downstream, making your way back to your vehicle in a seamless, hassle-free loop.

Designed for groups of five to eight, the Mega-SUPs are larger versions of the increasingly popular single stand up paddle boards, offering a stable and enjoyable ride for all participants. This experience guarantees an unforgettable day out, combining physical activity with the opportunity to connect with nature and loved ones.

Important to Note

A minimum of 2 adults is required per SUP.

The Severn Park car park in Bridgnorth is where you meet to get the shuttle bus. This is a pay and display car park - £5.50 for all day parking. The parking machines do not accept cash. Payment can be made by debit card or online via the app.

Please note: As a security deposit for mega-SUP hire services, a photo ID is required for each booking, i.e driving licence or passport. A staff member will safely keep this for the duration of the hire period. However, should you fail to bring the required documents on the day they reserve the right to cancel your booking with no refund given.

When

Available Monday to Friday between the months of April and September.

Shuttle bus leaves at 10am and 11am from Severn Park car park. This will leave on time so please ensure you are not late.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Minimum age is 10 years old.
Adults participating must have paddled at least once before (canoe, kayak, raft, paddle board).
The minimum hire age is 18 years old and an adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres. Anyone not able to swim this distance must be accompanied by an adult who can.
Maximum weight per Mega SUP is 99 stone.
Please wear clothing you don't mind getting wet and bring a change of clothes and towel with you. Sensible footwear is recommended, no wellies or flip flops.
Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times whilst on the river. Please do not throw them on the ground or in the bottom of boats. Where possible please place them in the dry bag supplied to keep them clean when removed.
When you leave the river take all your belongings, buoyancy aids and paddles as these are your responsibility and you will be charged in full if they are lost or stolen.
If your mega-SUP trip is cancelled due to bad weather or high river levels, an alternative date will be offered to you.
Please make the experience provider aware of any medical conditions, recent illnesses, allergies, surgery, pregnancy or other information of your family or group members. Anyone with a history of epilepsy should also avoid participating in this activity.
There is no whitewater on the 7 mile stretch.

What about Insurance?

Customers are responsible for all equipment whilst in their period of hire and will be charged in full for replacement or repair of any damaged or lost equipment, irrespective of how damage/loss was caused.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
