Some operators require customers to complete an indemnity/damage waiver form prior to taking the experience. This may state the driver is liable for a fixed amount of costs should they damage the vehicle whilst driving. Most operators are able to provide additional insurance to cover this at a small additional fee, payable on site. The purchase of this is optional and is in addition to the public liability insurance held by all venues. The full details of any indemnity or damage waiver and additional insurance will be provided by the activity operator. WonderDays is unable to advise or comment on the content or suitability of any such waiver or additional insurance.

The Ford GT40 is an iconic American-British endurance racing car, renowned for its remarkable success, especially at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Developed in the early 1960s, it emerged from a rivalry between Ford and Ferrari, following Ford's failed attempt to buy Ferrari. The GT40, with its name reflecting its height in inches (GT for Grand Touring and 40 for its height), featured a revolutionary mid-engine design and was constructed using lightweight materials for enhanced performance.

Initially equipped with a 4.2-litre alloy V8 engine, the GT40 saw various upgrades, most notably to a powerful 7.0-litre engine in its later versions. This car gained legendary status due to its dominance at Le Mans, particularly marked by its historic 1-2-3 finish in 1966, symbolising the first win for an American manufacturer in a major European race since the 1920's. This victory was not just a triumph on the track but also a significant moment in motorsport history, reflecting American ingenuity and competitive spirit.

The GT40's various iterations, including the Mk I, Mk II, and the road-going Mk III, highlight its evolution and adaptability. Its legacy has extended far beyond the racing world, influencing Ford's global image and inspiring the creation of modern tributes like the 2005 and 2017 Ford GT.

Today, original GT40's are highly sought after in the collector car market, valued for their historical significance and rarity. The Ford GT40 stands as a symbol of a pivotal era in automotive history, representing a blend of technological innovation, competitive spirit, and cultural significance. The Ariel Atom is a unique and innovative high-performance sports car, known for its minimalistic and open design. Developed by the British company Ariel Motor Company, it stands out in the automotive world due to its distinctive lack of body panels, exposing much of its mechanical components. This design choice not only contributes to its striking appearance but also significantly reduces its weight, enhancing its performance.

The combination of a lightweight frame and a powerful engine results in exceptional acceleration and handling, making the Atom a favourite among driving enthusiasts and track day devotees.

The Atom's design philosophy is centred around providing a raw and unfiltered driving experience. Its exposed frame and lack of traditional bodywork bring the driver closer to the mechanics of driving, offering an experience that's akin to driving a go-kart, but with the power and engineering of a high-performance sports car. This focus on the driving experience over luxury or comfort features is a hallmark of the Atom.

Over the years, Ariel has released various versions of the Atom, each improving upon its predecessor in terms of power, speed, and overall performance. Despite its track-focused design, many versions of the Atom are road legal, offering an exhilarating driving experience both on and off the track.

The Ariel Atom has garnered a strong following and critical acclaim for its innovative approach to sports car design. Its emphasis on minimalism, performance, and driver engagement sets it apart in the automotive industry and makes it a standout example of British engineering and automotive design.

Drivers get to experience first hand the exhilarating acceleration and precise handling that the Atom is famous for. These track days often include professional instruction, giving drivers of all skill levels the chance to improve their technique and get the most out of the car.
