The Main Event

For a dining experience with a difference, our heli-dining experiences fit the bill perfectly.

You'll be taken to a stunning location by private helicopter to indulge in your choice of a 3 course lunch or an afternoon tea, and then be flown back by helicopter to the original launch site.

The stunning location in this instance is The Barnsdale, a relaxed boutique hotel set on the edge of the beautiful Rutland Water, it really is an idyllic setting to celebrate any special occasion. You'll board your private helicopter at Turweston Airfield where you'll be whisked off to The Barnsdale, taking in the countryside views as you look forward to your dining experience.

You'll enjoy exceptional food whether you go for the sumptuous 3 course lunch or the delightful afternoon tea. The Barnsdale offers a sensational menu set in timeless and elegant surroundings, you'll never want to leave!

Once your dining experience has come to an end, you'll board your helicopter to be taken back to Turweston Airfield, with full bellies and memories of an amazing day spent with loved ones.

Important to Note

Your total helicopter flight time will be 1hr - 1hr 10 minutes.

This heli-dining experience will be organised fully by the experience provider. They will liaise with the hotel on your behalf to book in your dining experience, send you menu choices and take any dietary requirements from you.

When

Helicopter flights are available 7 days a week but please be aware that they are subject to venue approval and availability.

To have the best chance of securing your preferred dates, it is recommended to book your experience at least 2 weeks in advance.

Approximate timings for lunch and afternoon tea at The Barnsdale:
Lunch: 12pm to 2:45pm
Afternoon tea: 3pm to 4:30pm

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

It is required by the Civil Aviation Authority that all passenger weights are taken in order that the aircraft does not exceed its maximum permitted take off weight.
The MAXIMUM seat capacity is 265lb, 19 stone or 120kgs. If you exceed this weight and still want to fly, you will be required to purchase a second seat at 50% discount, this seat will then be left empty. This is purely for safety reasons but please discuss this with the experience supplier.
The Load Master will determine the seating positions of all passengers this is not negotiable. As a rule of thumb the lightest passenger will be seated in the co-pilot seat.
The minimum age for passengers flying by themselves is 10 years old. However if accompanied by an adult, there is no minimum age but the child must be able to sit up-right by themselves.
Please remove hats or headgear before approaching the Helicopter and keep arms below shoulder height at all times.
Wheelchair users can be accommodated.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
