Your journey begins at Riverbanc, where you’ll receive a full safety briefing and gear up for the adventure ahead. From there, you’ll be transported to the stunning Horseshoe Falls, the starting point of your rafting expedition. Guided by an expert team, you’ll navigate the iconic rapids of the River Dee, including the twisting Serpent’s Tail, the rocky challenge of Tombstones, and the exhilarating plunge of Town Falls.
This adventure isn’t just thrilling for participants, it’s a spectacle for spectators too! Encourage family and friends to cheer you on from the iconic bridge in Llangollen or watch you tackle the final stretch from the comfort of riverside decking.
Lasting approximately 2 ½ hours, this experience is designed to suit adventurers of all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned paddlers. Suitable for ages 8 and up, no swimming ability is required, but participants should feel confident in water. Friendly & professional guides will ensure your group remains safe and fully engaged in the fun from start to finish.

This is a private rafting session for up to 6 people.
Please note that a minimum group size of 2 people is required to book this experience.
You need to arrive at the start / arrival time listed on your confirmation email, there is a strict time schedule and failure to arrive on time will result in your session being cancelled.
Session times are 9.30am, 10.15am, 1.30pm and 2.15pm (Please note that 2.15pm is only available April - October)

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
How many people are in a raft / can you take in one session?
This is a private whitewater rafting experience and the raft holds up to 6 customers plus an instructor.
A minimum group size of 2 people is required to book this experience.
Are there changing facilities?
The activity centre is equipped with toilets, changing rooms, showers and storage boxes for your belongings.
Do I need to be able to swim?
No, the ability to swim is not necessary but you must be confident in water.
What do I need to bring on the day?
You will need to bring a pair of trainers you don’t mind getting wet (no open toes, sandals, crocs), swimwear, towel and a pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit.
Is this available all year round?
This experience is unavailable for a 2 week break over the Christmas period, please call to check availability prior to booking.
Do I need to arrive earlier than my start time?
No, you need to arrive at the start / arrival time listed on your confirmation email. There is a strict time schedule and failure to arrive on time will result in your session being cancelled.
Can I wear my glasses?
It is strongly recommended to not wear glasses for your safety and comfort.
Is there any parking on site?
There is no onsite parking, you will need to park in one of the pay and display car parks. Please allow plenty of time for this especially at weekends and throughout the summer months as Llangollen is a popular tourist destination.
Can I take part if I am pregnant?
No, you should not attend this activity if you are pregnant.
Should I bring my medication with me
The instructors carry dry bags, so if you think you may need your medication with you whilst out on session, then bring it with you and ask your instructor to keep it safe.
Will my activity be cancelled in bad weather?
Sometimes. On the rare occasion where the weather makes it impossible to provide your activity within the strict safety guidelines, the experience provider may need to postpone. The experience partner will contact you as soon as possible if they need to reschedule your booking.
