Discover the dramatic Pembrokeshire coastline on this Ramsey Island boat trip.

As you navigate the Ramsey Island coastline, you'll explore its impressive sea caves and traverse narrow rock gorges. Keep your eyes peeled for the abundance of wildlife that call this coastline home. You might be treated to sights of Atlantic grey seals and harbour porpoise, along with a multitude of migrating and nesting seabirds.

Each boat trip will be a unique experience, which is why so many return year after year to explore Ramsey Island. This popular boat trip is a one-hour, fully guided tour that runs regularly throughout the day. There are no age restrictions, and even dogs are welcome aboard!

Your journey will start at St Justinians old lifeboat station. From here you'll cross the challenging waters of Ramsey Sound, which spans a mile between the mainland and Ramsey Island. Depending on the tide, you may explore the formidable tidal flow over 'The Bitches' rock formation, with your expert guide sharing stories of unfortunate shipwrecks that have occurred over the years, as well as their knowledge and passion of the Pembrokeshire coast and it's remarkable wildlife.

The route around the island is selected based on the day's conditions and tides, with the goal always being to encompass the entire island.

Important to Note

The boat trip will last around 1 hour.

Passengers must meet at the departure point St. Justinians (2 miles from St Davids, Pembrokeshire) at least 30 minutes before the boat departure time.

There is a short walk and a number of steps to the slipway, which could prove difficult for those with limited ability.

When

Boat trips are available daily from late March to mid-November, with some limited sailings in winter months.

9am, 10:15am, 11:30am, 12:45pm, 2pm, 3:15pm, 4:30pm & 6pm

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Suitable for all ages, even 0-5, however some restrictions may apply in more challenging weather conditions.
Please be of the wind chill factor, especially for little ones so make sure they are wrapped up.
Passengers must fill out a medical declaration form for certain medical conditions before their boat trip. These conditions include but are not limited to things like severe back pain, heart conditions, pregnancies, etc. Depending on the sea conditions, we will often sit these people at the back of the boat as there is less movement.
Is it compulsory for all passengers to wear lifejackets and passengers will be refused boarding if intoxicated in any form.
Dogs are welcome on board the boat.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
