This Skid Pan Driving Experience is suitable for ages 17+ with a provisional or full driving licence, this is an ideal gift for new drivers, car lovers, or anyone keen to gain confidence in tricky driving conditions.
You'll be driving a BMW 3 Series standard road car on a low-grip skid pan, designed to simulate real-life skidding conditions. With no cradles or gimmicks, you’ll feel exactly how the car reacts on slippery surfaces, and more importantly, learn how to regain control.
Guided by expert instructors (some with rally and racing backgrounds), you’ll take part in a one-hour or two-hour session, sharing the car with two other participants. This allows time behind the wheel, plus the chance to learn by watching and listening as others take their turn.
The experience is carefully structured to ensure drivers get the most out of their time on the skid pan. It includes:
Welcome & safety briefing – Learn what to expect before getting behind the wheel.
First driving session – Get a feel for the car and experience the thrill of a skid.
Classroom learning – Discover the science behind skidding, weight transfer, understeer, and oversteer.
More time at the wheel – Put new techniques into practice.
Braking exercises – Master ABS and cadence braking for ultimate control.
Debrief & presentation – Reflect on what you’ve learned and take away invaluable driving skills.

This is a group experience shared with other participants, with 3 students per car taking it in turns to drive and a maximum of 2 cars on the track.
Instructors are ARDS and BARS qualified, with race and rally experience.
Available to book on selected weekday and weekend dates throughout the year.
Morning and afternoon sessions available.
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
