Discover Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece, one of London's most iconic landmarks, showcasing spectacular English Baroque and Renaissance architecture.
Nestled within its walls are numerous chapels and a vast collection of religious and historical artefacts, statues, and exquisite artworks. Venture through Europe's largest crypt, the final resting place of many of Britain's most celebrated national heroes.

The exhibition 'Wren 300: Innovation and Restoration' is included with the Cathedral admission.

When
Opening Hours
The Cathedral usually opens for sightseeing Monday to Saturday at 08.30. (10.00 on Wednesday).
Last admission to the Cathedral is at 16.00.
Once inside the Cathedral, access to the Dome Galleries is from 09.30 to 16.15 (10.00 to 16.15 on Wednesdays).
The Cathedral closes for sightseeing at 16.30.
The shop closes at 16.30.
Entrance to the Galleries is subject to availability due to capacity management and there may be time restrictions in place.

Who Can Go
- Adult: 18+
- Child: 6-17 years old
- Infants aged 0-5 go free.
- Photography is permitted inside the Cathedral. This applies to non-professional personal use only. Video, flash, additional lighting, tripods, monopods and selfie sticks are not permitted.
- The Whispering Gallery and St Dunstan's Chapel are no photography areas and photography is not permitted during services and should be paused during hourly prayer.
- Accessibility: The cathedral floor, Crypt and Quire have step-free access.
- Please note that the galleries can be accessed only by stairs. There are a total of 257 steps up to the Whispering Gallery, 376 steps up to the Stone Gallery and 528 steps (total) to the Golden Gallery. We recommend that those with pre-existing medical conditions, mobility difficulties or concerns with heights and confined spaces do not try to climb these stairs.
- The restaurant is closed. The coffee cart café is open in the Crypt Monday – Saturday. The shop is open.
What about Insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
