Whether you're a seasoned smithy or a complete novice, this experience takes you to the heart of the forge, where you'll be greeted by an arsenal of tools fit for a modern-day blacksmithing hero. From power hammers to belt sanders, there's everything you need to bring your blade to life.

Under the expert guidance of seasoned blacksmiths, you'll navigate the flames and sparks with confidence, ensuring a safe and thrilling experience for all. You'll have the chance to make your knife even more unique to you by adding a Damascus pattern to the blade using the technique of mixing different types of steels together.

Important Bits

Important to Note

All PPE is provided. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots, ideally steel toecaps and clothes you don't mind getting dirty and try to avoid wearing polyester or anything especially flammable.

Safety is taken very seriously, however due to the nature of this experience, small a little nick or two is pretty much unavoidable. Knife making is hard work - please expect the odd blister/burn and maybe even a cut if your blade is sharp enough!

This is a shared experience so there will be other students on the course too.

This is a rural location so driving there is recommended. There are parking spaces in front of the workshop.

When

This experience is available year round, subject to availability.

Both days start at 9am and finish between 4 and 5pm.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Minimum age: 16
Under 18's must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Please advise when booking of any dietary requirements for lunch.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
