The Main Event

You and a friend can go on a right royal day out and immerse yourselves in the pomp and splendour that makes the UK such a prestigious place to be, which is ideal for followers of the royals and of horses.

If you’re a lover of horses and of the Royal family, then this experience is perfect for you as you get to visit one of the most famous stables in the world.

The Royal Mews is home to the Royal collection of coaches and carriages as well as the horses that are famed for performing so admirably on past royal occasions.

The stables are still in charge of making all arrangements for the King and other Royal Family members to go by road. Since George III moved his carriage collection closer to his new residence at Buckingham Palace in 1760, The Royal Mews has served as the location for the sovereign's road transportation.

See the magnificent Diamond Jubilee State Coach and the Australian State Coach, which was donated to Queen Elizabeth II as a gift by the Australian people and even has central heating, plus the Gold State Coach, which has been used at every event, is probably the most stunning of all.

Red Pepper Hummus – Heritage tomato, radish, black olive crumb and crispy pitta (vg)
Confit chicken & apricot compressed pave – piccalilli, baby leaves, sourdough crostini
Quinoa salad – Avocado, mixed peppers, chickpea, radish and cress (vg)

Main
Double cooked chicken supreme – Whipped potato, braised leeks, carrots, wild mushroom crème, thyme reduction
Pan fried salmon fillet & tiger prawns – Asian greens, sticky rice, Thai flavoured coconut broth, scallions, red chillies
Carrot and coriander Risotto – Cauliflower beignets, baby carrots, shaved vegan cheese, chive oil (gf, v, vg)

Dessert
Early Grey infused panna cotta - Berry compote, pistachio crumb (v)
Chocolate & orange tranche – Chocolate sauce, mint (v)

The Royal Mews is part of a working royal palace so sometimes closures can happen at short notice.

The Royal Horseguards Hotel – Afternoon tea served daily from 1pm – 4:30pm

Not available on the following dates - all bank holidays, 6th May and the 24th-31st December inclusive.

All bookings must be made at least 14 days in advance and are subject to availability.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note that tickets are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable once booked.
When you arrive, you will pass through an airport-style security check.
Toilets, a changing space and baby-care facilities are located adjacent to the large State Coach House in the middle of the visitor route.
Pushchairs can be taken into the The Royal Mews.
Photography and filming for non-commercial purposes are welcome at The Royal Mews.
A multilingual audio guide is included with your entrance ticket.
The Royal Mews is fully accessible.
An audio-descriptive tour in English is available for blind or partially-sighted visitors.
The general tour is available in British Sign Language as a video tour. Subtitles are included. For hard of hearing visitors the multi-media handsets are T-coil compatible and equipped with volume control and neck loops are also available on request. Please note that the technology is not compatible with all hearing aids – a printed version of the multimedia guide script is available on request.
Guide, hearing and assistance animals are welcome.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
