The Main Event

An interactive journey unravelling the layered stories of the house, The Salvation Army, John Lennon's childhood, and the creation of 'Strawberry Fields Forever'.

Guests will delve into a surreal experience starting from the 1860s, when Strawberry Field was first established as a Victorian house. It later evolved into a refuge where The Salvation Army provided support and housing for some of Liverpool’s vulnerable young people. Explore the site through archival footage, photographs, and timelines, aided by our expert media guides, and discover the childhood world of John Lennon behind the iconic red gates.

The exhibition and garden tour contains over 4.5 hours of meaningful and inspiring content, however most visitors spend around 1.5 hours on their first visit.

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Adult: 17+
Ages 0-16 go free
Under 16's must be accompanied by a paying adult.
A media guide tour is available in English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Mandarin.
Strawberry Field is fully wheelchair accessible with a clear pathway and exhibits at comfort level.
Guide dogs are welcome on site.
The exhibition has been developed to cater for everyone, regardless of age, gender or visual, auditory or mobility impairments.
Hearing Impaired: T-channel compatibility on media guide. A captioned version of all videos on the media guide.
Visually Impaired: Exhibition designed to avoid collision points and to accommodate cane detection. Colour between floor and wall. Tactile elements.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
