This experience is available seasonally, welcoming visitors of all ages to enjoy its delights. Dogs are also welcome, both indoors and outdoors, so long as they are kept on a short lead throughout your visit.
While the experience typically takes around three hours, you’re more than welcome to spend the entire day soaking in the beauty of Canonteign Falls. Whether it’s a birthday surprise, a thoughtful gift for nature lovers, or simply a day out to cherish with family or friends, this visit promises memories to last a lifetime.
Please allow around 3 hours for your visit, however, you are welcome to stay all day should you wish to.
Please note: Canonteign Falls it is a natural environment and parts of the walks are steep and/or have naturally exposed tree roots.
None of the walks are suitable for wheelchair users.
The route up to Lady Exmouth Waterfalls is very steep at certain points (particularly the 90 Victorian Steps) and requires a certain level of fitness.
The Lily Lake and Lower lakes offer a more gentle, alternative walk for those that don't feel they can walk up to the top of the waterfall.
The base of Clampitt Falls and the base of Lady Exmouth waterfalls can be reached before it gets too steep.
The experience provider is able to accommodate vegan and gluten-free options with advance notice.
This experience has seasonal availability and is due to reopen on the 24th March 2025.
Bookings can be made in advance for the 2025 season.
Cream tea is available daily between 10am-3:30pm - it is best to book the time you want to arrive rather than the time you want to have your tea, as this will give you plenty of time to enjoy both.
Please note that the estate is open 10am–5pm during holidays, and 10am–4pm outside of school holidays (last entry to the estate is 3pm).
